dc.description b&w photograph
dc.description Fair condition: staple marks along all edges, tack holes and creases throughout, and tape on top two corners on reverse.
dc.description Group photo of five men, probably attending an alumni event. Second from right is Ron Wallace (MLA 1970-1978, Halifax Mayor 1980-1991). Wallace was Maritime Middleweight and Light-Heavyweight Inter-Collegiate Boxing Champion in 1937 and was one of the first graduates of the (then) Royal Roads Naval Academy, serving in the Royal Canadian Navy 1942-1945. He was awarded an honourary Doctor of Civil Laws in 1995. Oddly, there is no graduation photo of Wallace in the 1939 Collegian yearbook. Some details credited to alumnus Ervin J. Doak (Commerce class of 1962).
dc.description Written in pencil on reverse is 'Ron Wallace?' and '248.0.' Stamped in blue on reverse is '-hoto by Tom Martin Halifax, N.S. 2-5424.' Came in white matte with '248.0' written in pencil on reverse. From Art Gallery.
